Character Name: Edward "Eddie" Lee
Fandom: BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad
Timeline: Chapter 52, just before his death.
Crimes: Breaking And Entering, destruction of property, trespassing, Truency and underaged drinking and smoking.
Personality: Eddie is one of the calmest guy anyone would ever meet. He has an energy about him that pulls to him. Whether he was famous or unknown, he's always remained humble and peaceful. Though, in HIS younger years he was a little more brash as most bored teenagers.He took his inner struggles out in destructive ways. With the help of his Japanese friend Ryusuke (Ray, as Eddie called him), Eddie became one of the most infamous theives in his New York ghetto neighborhood. Even though he made a living stealing and hocking the belongings of others, Eddie still showed his true colors to his friends by encouraging their best and plyaying beautiful melodies ona beat-up guitar.
His main goal is life is to break out of obscurity. He was always worried about being trash and grew determined to live a clean life without drugs or alcohol. This determination made him work hard to better himself and his situation. Eddie is outwardly calm, revealing his inner feelings to very few. He pours his feelings into his music, even saying in the canon that "A guitar is you're personality expressed through six strings."
Eddie is the type of person who connects to all kinds of people; a better way to explain his personality is to explain his friendships with a few people, starting with his childhood friend Ray. Ray was a quite kid who didn't fit in anywhere until Eddie saw him on the street, looking at his feet. He told Ray there was nothing down there and to look forward and that was the start of a long and deep friendship. Eddie saw a lot of himself in Ray, someone with no where to belong and no future. Ray was one of the first people who knew about Eddie's abusive stepfather. Ray was the one who saw Eddie as a blessing but, in Eddies eyes, Ray was the blessing. Ray was the one who helped him get back into music- to find his calling. Music is his soul and life he can lose himself for hours playing riffs.
The next important friendship is with a set of siblings, Matt and Shane. Matt is the lead vocalist of Dying Breed. He only met Eddie because his sister had a thing for him, though if Eddie and Shane were lovers was never made clear, the point was Shane was the one who connected Matt and Eddie. Matt is an extremely angry person but Eddie is one of the few people who knows just how fragile he truly is. Their pain reflects each other and creates something beautiful out of the tragedies they have had to overcome. Though they are opposites in personalty, they are also the best friends they have ever had.
Finally a show of his ability to make friends. Koyuki was just a kid who was in Ray's Japanese band. Eddie saw him ONCE on stage and instantly LOVED the kid's vocals. He was totally cool with letting Koyuki on stage with them and singing with them. He even trusts this kid he barely knows with his legacy. Koyuki was the only person to hear part of his last song because he answered Ray's phone.
Abilities: Eddie does not have any real ablities supernatural ablities. He can however draw people to himself, write some beautiful songs and play a mean guitar?
Multifandom Test: I personally believe Eddie Lee would be good friends with Nana Osaki from NANA. Both have a love for music with depth of feeling. The could jam together for ours. They both had a bad childhood to which they can relate and they find release from that burden through music and friends. There are many different topics they could discuss. Eddie also wouldn't be thrown off by her Japanese behaviors due to being friends with Ray for so many years.
